Throughout my time with the IBM Watson organization, I worked on various experiences that either used AI or enabled users to build projects that would utilize AI. These projects included chatbot building platforms and a concept for an experience to help compare companies and their investment potential.
I was also very involved in the Design System Guild, which was an effort to build components unique to the Watson organization, based on the overall IBM Carbon design system. Within my immediate team, I worked to improve the overall culture of the team, our processes, and ability to collaborate as designers and a crossfunctional team.
Caitlin worked as a Designer on a Watson Design team of mine for nearly 2 years. While her emphasis was originally Visual Design, Caitlin also developed strong UX skills and actively solved many wicked UX problems during this time. Caitlin's strong problem solving skills combined with her initiative and desire to learn new skills makes her a great designer, collaborator, and team member.
Caitlin is also very action focused -- she likes get things done. Combine that attitude with her growing skill set and you have a natural design leader. Caitlin excels at plotting a course and rallying her colleagues to take action. She builds trust by not only delivering in all commitments but also by building a collaborative environment in which people have a voice and want to participate. Caitlin's passion for both great design and strong team culture make her valuable to any design organization.
